Tynan Texting

3.17.10

Shawn and I got new cell phones (the old ones had about had it!) and Tynan has been having a blast with Shawn's old phone. He likes to sit next to me in the same pose I am in and "chat" on his phone.

He also likes to "text" on his phone. It is so cute!

This picture is Mommy doing her usual self-picture stuff. I thought it turned out pretty well, and Tynan had a great smile. I just had pneumonia again last weekend, and this day was the first day I felt somewhat human. I am going for a physical in a couple of days, and I've been told I should see an allergist and maybe get treated for asthma or something. Hopefully I don't have to get friggin' pneumonia ever again.

Tynan's "Uncle Wesley Pants"

3.14.10

Grandma Wendy found a bunch of 2T clothes for a great deal and mailed them to Tynan. He was excited and wanted to try some on. A couple of items have a little bit extra growing room, like this pair I call the "Uncle Wesley Pants."

See how they are kinda long and baggy and his bottom is hanging out? That's how Uncle Wesley wears his pants! (Sorry Wes, I love ya but it's true ;-)

Driveway

3.7.10

Well, Shawn and I decided we didn't like the idea of the cement walkway alongside the driveway any more. We decided to do bricks instead. So this first picture is our new "Before" picture, after Shawn dug out the half finished cement walkway.

And this is "After." Tynan liked the bricks also! It took us a long time to decide on this pattern and this style of brick, but I think it turned out pretty well. :-)

Silly

Just a couple of quick, silly videos :-)

The Men

2.20.10
Tynan has to hold the remote while he and Daddy watch Dora. He rules the house!

Tynan's Temper

2.15.10
Tynan did not want me to touch the quilt. (How heartless am I, to take pictures of his angry face and then post them?)

Valentine Weekend

Grandma Doreen and Grandpa Bob came for a visit over Valentine's Day weekend. I told Tynan all morning that they were coming but I guess he still doesn't understand that much English. When they arrived he was super shy! Silly boy! But here he is on Grandma Doreen. He put his coat on backwards and thought it was hilarious.

Here he is keeping Grandpa Bob awake. Tynan loved the roll out mattress. He pretty much claimed it as his own personal playground.

Here is Tynan showing off his mad rhythm. I should look for a Zumba* Kids class!

(*I don't know how to do the trademark symbol, so that'll have to do.)

And this is just cute! :-)

Playing with Christmas Presents

This post is a little bit out of order, but Tynan was so cute in these pictures I decided to post them anyway. They were both taken in January and show how much Tynan is enjoying his crazy red vehicles. The motorcycle is just a tiny bit too tall for him, so he fell over a lot at first, but he's got the hang of it now.
And Shawn took the batteries out of the Lightning McQueen car so that the volume and movement of the little activities would stop scaring Tynan. Now we can't get him off it! He keeps ramming it into things too, like knocking over that old PC we're going to take to recycle and pushing it and other random objects around the living room. Silly kid! (P.S. Tynan's shirt has an electric guitar on it and says "Less talk more rock." I saw it and had to have it!)

Toothbrush Troubles

2.5.10

Tynan LOVES his new blue toothbrush! With his old one, we would have to hold him down to brush his teeth. Now he asks for it constantly. He walks around the house brushing his teeth. I know, I know - dangerous! What's worse, tartar or swallowed toothbrush? Well, we also have a new problem with his new toothbrush. . .

We can't get it away from him! Look how mad he is! There has to be a better way to do this!

Fingerpaints? Well, food, actually!

1.23.10
I have not been very good at updating lately. Work blocked my blog. When I tried to bring it up, it said, "This website cannot be displayed because it contains material that may be inappropriate." Yeah. Pictures of my son are inappropriate for work. WTF?
Well, anyway, here is munchkin fingerpainting with his dinner. It's amazing he hasn't wasted away to skin and bones by now cause he won't eat anymore. It's not food we're giving him, it's toys! And part of that food is sprayed all over the freshly painted wall! Yay!

Tynan was ready to get out, so he kept signing "All Done." He was also trying to say it, but it sounded more like he was saying "Alda." I tried to catch it on video, but he wasn't cooperating very well.

And here Tynan was showing off some of his anatomy knowledge. :-)
