Christmas Tree

12.6.10

On this day we put up our Christmas tree! The tree stayed in the box the past two Christmases (ornaments + toddler = migraine) so I was pretty anxious to finally set it up. Tynan had a ton of fun helping out. First, he helped us put on the branches.

He had a ball with the string of lights. We keep telling him over and over again that he is not to use the plug-in. Hopefully the message sinks in soon!

Next we hung up the ornaments. Tynan probably enjoyed this the most.

Here is Tynan's favorite branch that he decorated all by himself! (It's the one that is almost touching the floor from the weight of all his ornaments.)

No Night Night!

12.5.10

Ah, nap time. Here is what I found when I went in to wake Tynan. (We had to head out for a dinner, or I would've let him sleep!) He is asleep in his crib on a bare sheet. He threw every pillow, blanket, and animal out onto the floor.

Nap time has always been a bit of a trying time in our house. We have a huge stack of books on infant and toddler sleeping (sleep training, co-sleeping, cry-it-out, etc. etc.). One day a few months ago, everything seemed to come together all at once and Tynan finally started getting into bed willingly. It was an amazing day! I didn't want to talk about it because I was afraid I'd jinx it! But we still have our setbacks, as this picture shows. -sigh-

Thanksgiving

Here is a picture of Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Eric's back yard. Most of this all fell after we arrived in town for the holidy. (Our drive was twice as long as usual due to icy roads.)
Tynan got to play with his cousin Camden again. They went wild for hours on end!

Tynan loved this back massager so much! He made Grandpa Eric tickle him with it!

Here is Tynan with Uncle Wesley.

And here is one of this year's (failed!) attempts at a nice family photo for our Christmas card. We might just have to go with a generic card this year!

Are we covered?
