Weekend Visit Part III

Here is Tynan playing with Grandma Doreen and some of his new old toys. He has been practicing and practicing pulling up to standing. He is having a blast! The picture at the top of the blog with Tynan playing with a blue and yellow telescope is from today also. That telescope was Daddy's when he was 2 - talk about hand-me-downs! You can't see through it anymore when it is extended, but Tynan didn't seem to mind.

Weekend Visit Part II

Shawn and I went visiting today with Tynan. Here we are at Rich and Sue's house. Tynan loved their dogs! He kept feeling them, like he was trying to figure out what fur was.

After a while, not even the dogs could keep Tynan awake. He snoozed on Daddy while we finished our visit.

Later Tynan played with his cousin Camden. Tynan loved all of his cousins. He kept patting their faces. He loved their toys too - we came home with a couple of them (because Grandma Doreen and Grandpa Bob were tired of the noises they made!).

Weekend Visit

We all packed up and went to visit relatives for the weekend. Shawn and I each took an extra day off and made a respectable trip out of it. We almost had time to see everyone we wanted to! Here, Tynan is chewing on Aunt Nikki's keys. Their eyes and shirts are almost the same colors!


Tynan laughs with Grandpa Eric. Tynan always has smiles for Grandpa Eric! I think it's partly because Eric has glasses like Shawn, and a pretty deep voice. Tynan is around a lot of women, and Eric's voice is deeper than Shawn's. For whatever reason, it makes for some sweet photo ops!

Tynan loves to play with Grandma Wendy's nails and jewelry. We can't get him to stop! Once he drooled so much over her watch that it stopped. I think it dried out and worked again. Eventually. . .

Self Timer

Playing around with the timer on the camera. Tynan thought Mommy was crazy, but he still gave me plenty of smiles :-)

9 Month Birthday!

Holy cow! Tynan has been out now for longer than he was in! I can't believe it! I can't stop using exclamation points! For his 9 month picture I dressed him in a totally rockin' outfit. You can't see the guitar on his shirt very well in this picture, though, darn it!


So I put this picture on here too. :-) Christy told me that Shopko had an outfit that perfectly matched Tynan's super sweet guitar shoes. She was right! They only had it in 12 months or larger though, so it has been hanging in the closet, waiting for Tynan to grow a bit more and for good short sleeve weather. I got it out for his 75% year birthday, and it is definitely cute!



The outfit might still be a little large, though. (He crawled out of the pants!)

This past month, Tynan has improved his walrus crawling, tried meat (he hates turkey!), taken his first ride down a slide and his first trip to the zoo, learned how to spit out food he doesn't like (boy has that been fun, lemme tell ya!), explored every room of the house, said "Ah-ma," which I'm sure is "mama" and all that other babble up till now has just been gibberish (wink wink!), started to pull up, started to stand while holding on to things, tried finger foods (not really a success), tried juice (also not much of a success), bitten Mommy in many places and even caused a toothmark bruise, grown out of almost every outfit he has, lost at least a dozen socks, drooled over every corner of the house, and finally figured out that baths are fun. He also has been giving me real hugs. It just melts my heart! Sweet little guitar angel boy!

The Zoo!

Grandma Wendy, Grandpa Eric, and Aunt Nikki came with us for a trip to the little zoo. Tynan had a lot of fun watching the people. I don't think he realized that the animals are the attraction! He also had a little snooze in his stroller. Here he is with the penguins.

Warm Weather

The weather was really nice over the weekend, and Grandma Wendy, Grandpa Eric, and Aunt Nikki came for a visit. We went to the park and Tynan had his first ride down the slide!

He didn't really know what to make of it.

Sippy Cup

We have been trying the sippy cups. . . You can see how well he has been getting it to his mouth, right? I mean, his shirt still has some dry spots. On the back of it, maybe. Hey, well, at least he is having a blast!
