Wind-Up Toy Ran Down

3.7.11

I came home from work and found tuckered out Tynan snoozing on the living room floor. He naps like an angel at daycare but can sometimes refuse to do it at home. And sometimes gets away with that too. He skipped his nap on this day. Looks like it caught up to him!

Horsing Around

3.5.11

It is weird to think sometimes that I started this blog with a video clip of teeny tiny Tynan reaching for some baby keys because I couldn't get the video to send through e-mail and I wanted family members to see it. And now, here I am, uploading videos of monkey boy sumo wrestling with his papa. It has taken forever to get to this point while also somehow flashing by in the blink of an eye.

It's so crazy!

Happy Home Hair

2.22.11

Tynan didn't want us to snap a picture of his home haircut. He watched me cut Daddy's hair and then climbed up in the chair and sat still for quite a while. He's getting better with these trims. (Yay!)

What our house REALLY looks like

2.20.11

I had to take a picture after the 2-year-old-tornado blew through. (It does that pretty often!)

Floor Time

Ah, tantrums.

Family in Town

1.30.11

Tynan's cousin Aubryanna had a cheerleading event in town. So Aunt Surae, Grandma Doreen, and 3 of Tynan's cousins came for a visit. The visit involved lots of snacking, playing, shopping, repeat viewings of Despicable Me, and even a fire drill at the mall. Tynan had a blast!

Proud Mommy

1.9.11

There are moments in parenthood when everything feels like it is all finally coming together and all your hard work and fatigue is totally worth it. Take this day, for instance. Here Tynan fashioned a very large firearm from Legos, entirely on his own, and ran around the house with no pants on shouting, "Bam bam bam!" as he fired at furniture, appliances, and family members. I'm not sure I can properly convey the feelings I felt swelling in my breast. Partly because the words I might use would be instantly repeated in public and other awesomely inappropriate places, like Tynan's Christian daycare. -sigh-

More naptime woes

1.3.11

Not much to say here...

Christmas

12.25.10

More wrapping paper confetti! Tynan got so many toys I can't even remember them all. Wouldn't it be cool to be entertained by almost anything?

Ah, presents

Tynan got to open presents on three separate occasions this Christmas. (Spoiled, what?) And Mommy got to clean up wrapping paper confetti. Yay!
